Obituary
Yvette Stevenson Townser, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. She was 64 years old. Born on September 14, 1960, in Bay Minette, Alabama, Yvette was the cherished daughter of the late Fred Eugene Stevenson and Emogene Hawthorne Stevenson. Yvette grew up in Bay Minette and graduated from Baldwin County High School as a member of the Class of 1978.
Yvette was known for her incredibly kind and sweet nature, often infused with a silly sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. She approached life with an open heart, always giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and believing in the inherent good in people. A woman of faith, Yvette loved God and professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a talented cook, and her meals were a special treat, reminiscent of her parents' cooking, often evoking warm, nostalgic memories for her family. In her leisure time, Yvette enjoyed watching comedies and sports, and simply "chilling" with her friends.
Yvette's legacy lives on through her precious daughter, Ramona Adams. She is also survived by her beloved brothers, Fred Eugene Stevenson, II, Derrick Shah, and her most cherished caregiving brother Ronald Stevenson. She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Donna Lynn Stevenson-Contreras. Yvette will be deeply missed by her nieces, Hannah Stevenson, Kiana Stevenson, and Emma Stevenson; her nephew, Ronald Stevenson, and great-nephew Apollo Hermes Stevenson, along with a host of extended family and friends.
