Willie Richardson was born on September 25, 1949. He is the son of Curtis Richardson and Novella Anderson Richardson. A God-fearing man, he served the Lord and Savior throughout his lifetime. Willie was a member of the Livingway Pentecostal Church in Repton, AL, where he faithfully and diligently worshipped. A true servant of God, he served as the Superintendent of Sunday school, Trustee, and Deacon. He was a father figure and pillar in the church and community.
He met and married Dorothy Thomas. They created a family home, filled with love and spiritual support for one another. Together, they lived, laughed and loved for 48 years. Willie was no stranger to honest, hard day’s work. As a Sales Associate at Owens Hardware in Monroeville, for 33 years, Willie provided for his wife and children. He cherished his role as husband and father; unselfishly catered to them with every fiber of his heart. Whatever need he saw, he would gladly handle. From warming the cars in the morning to fixing things around the house, he didn't wait for anyone to ask. "Jank," as he was affectionately known, had a natural heart of "LOVE." He enjoyed watching Wrestling and Dallas Cowboys and was true to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Willie was often seen wearing Alabama "Roll Tide."
In the late evening hours of Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Deacon Willie Richardson answered his Savior's call, leaving behind the woes of this' ol earth. His working hands at rest, he now resides in his mansion in the sky. He was preceded in death by his parents.
