Vondell Garfield Clark

Vondell Garfield Clark was born on March 20, 1953, to Garfield Clark and Ernestine Clark. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Good Hope Baptist Church in Franklin, AL, where he remained a member throughout his lifetime.
In 1973, Vondell attended and graduated from the Monroe County High School in Monroeville, AL. He worked as a Custodian for Temple-Inland. When Georgia-Pacific acquired Temple, he continued his employment. After forty years of dedicated service, he retired and enjoyed the remaining years of his life enjoying his time with family and friends.
In the late afternoon hours of Sunday, February 21, 2021, Vondell quietly slipped away to be with the Lord. He traded his earthly home, for a mansion in the sky.
He is survived by his daughter, Ernestine (Hadrin) Clark Davis of Tunnel Springs, Alabama; three brothers: Wayne Penn, Charles Penn and Timothy Penn all of Monroeville, Alabama; two sisters: Gwendolyn Kyles and Linda Hollis both of Monroeville, Alabama; three sisters-in-law: Karen Law and Margaret Johnson both of Wainwright, Alabama and Sandra (J.L.) Stabler of Fulton, Alabama; five brothers-in-law: Paul Hunt of Shreveport, Louisiana, Grady (Normoria) Bradley of Pensacola, Florida, Marvin Hunt of Wainwright, Alabama, Reginald (Sharon) Hunt of Mexia, Alabama, Leon Hunt of Mobile, Alabama; a devoted cousin (loved like a brother) Robert (Katherine) Knight; devoted friends: Archie Watkins of Huntsville, Alabama and Robert Kemp of Beatrice, Alabama; five grandchildren: Tyeisha Davis, Lakeisha Davis, Whitney Davis, LaDarrius Davis all of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Miracle Clarke of Franklin, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and many caring friends.
