Teresa McCall Obituary

Teresa McCall

"Let not your heart be troubled. My Savior has prepared a place for me"

Teresa McCall was born at Monroe County Hospital in Monroeville, Alabama on October 26, 1968 and welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on February 22, 2021 at the age of 52 at Monroe County Hospital in Monroeville, Alabama. Teresa McCall was born at Monroe County Hospital in Monroeville, Alabama to the late Waymon and Betty Lou Brown.

Education & Work

Teresa’s favorite inspirational quote was “Hard work equals a great reward.” This quote is what drove her to push her family and herself toward spiritual and educational excellence. She was a class of 1988 student and graduate of J.F. Shields High School in Beatrice, Alabama and De Ridder High School in De Ridder, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting at Everest University in 2015. She also received her Master’s of Science in Business Management at University of Phoenix in 2020. She was currently working on her Doctoral Degree in Business Management at Liberty University. She also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in the Monroe County area for seven plus years. Teresa accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and united with the First Baptist Church in Vredenburgh, Alabama. She also attended Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church in Sedan, Alabama.  She served her Lord faithfully as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the church choir. Her greatest legacy is her children.  Teresa was a godly woman and brought up her children to fear the Lord and wholeheartedly serve Him.

Celebration of Life

Her life story is one truly reflective of the Proverbs 31 woman. She opened her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue was the law of kindness. She looked well to the ways of her household and gave everything (her mind, body, and soul) to provide unconditional care, love and support to her husband, children, family and friends. For this reason, her children and husband rise and call her blessed! Many who knew her would describe her to be strong, beautiful, hardworking, intelligent, sweet, funny, energetic, encouraging and helpful. Of her many talents and abilities, Teresa’s gifts of spiritual wisdom and exhortation are often what set her apart as the “go-to woman” for encouragement and inspiration for everyone who intimately knew her. Teresa was so full of life and fun! Her favorite things to do were spending time with family, writing poetry, dancing, cooking (sweet potato pies were her specialty), shopping, dressing up, sewing, decorating and traveling.
