Mr. Roy C. Howard
"He is resting with the Lord in Heaven. You've fought a good fight and now you shall be with God"
Roy Chester Howard, was born on September 20, 1952, to John Howard, Sr. and Mable Williams Howard. A native of Monroe County, AL, he was one of eleven children born to this loving union. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the York Chapel AME Church in Franklin, AL. He worshiped with his family on Sundays and was always willing to do whatever he needed to do for the Lord.
He met and married Annette (Roberts) Howard. Their loving union brought the love of six children. They shared nearly 50 years of marriage together, living, laughing and building a home for their family. Roy was charismatic, knowledgeable, particular, and a hard-working, family man. The smiles of his children and grandchildren always warmed his heart. He worked, as a provider for his family, in several jobs, including Landscaping for various clients within the county; Acon Windows and Door Manufacturing Plant and also Alabama River Companies.
In the morning hours of Tuesday, September 7, 2021, the Lord saw that his battle was over. He quietly closed his eyes and placed his hand in the hand of our Savior. Now, he has found that sweet place at the end of the day. Roy Chester Howard traded his earthly woes for a mansion in the sky. He is at rest. He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings: Maurine Williams, John Howard Jr., Nathaniel Howard, James Floyd Howard, and Mary Jane Tucker and one grandson, De’Andre McMillian.
