ROGER DALE LETT
"Let not your hearts be troubled. My Lord and Savior has prepared a place for me...."
Roger Dale Lett was born on June 7, 1949, to Sam Fountain and Retha Lett. He was one of ten children born to this union. He attended and graduated from J. F. Shields High School and went on to study Culinary Arts at the Community College.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Mars Hill Missionary Baptist in Peterman. Roger was a God fearing man who trusted the word of God. He served his Savior and his church in whatever capacity he could. He was pleased to be a Deacon at Mars Hill.
He met and married Beverly Richardson Lett and their union brought the love of seven children. Roger, affectionately known as “Dale,” created a loving and kind environment for his family. No stranger to hard work, he provided for his family driving trucks for the City of Monroeville and Logging for Range Trucking.
In the evening hours of Thursday, June 30, 2022, the Lord saw that his servant should take his rest. He quietly stretched out His hand, whispered his name and received him into Gods kingdom. Oh, what a joyous reunion when he was met at the gates by his parents and his siblings: John Lett, Cecil Lett, and JoNell Dailey.
