Joe Lewis Williams was born on May 25, 1953 to the late Leroy Williams Sr. and Bessie Mae Andrews. He graduated from Baldwin County High School in 1971. Joe enjoyed family and friends and worked for several years on the assembly line at Standard Furniture.
On December 28, 2019, the Lord saw that it was time for him to make his transition from this physical earth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Williams; three brothers, Leroy Williams, Jr., Walter Earl Andrews, and Tommy Lee Andrews, and his step-father, Walter Lee Andrews.
Joe Lewis leaves to cherish his memories; a loving and devoted companion Bertha Evans, her children and grandchildren; Latasha Evans, Harold Evans, Akilah Tucker, Teah and Amyah Evans; two loving sons; Gregory Adams of Bay Minette, AL, and Tyrone Powell of Greenville, AL; four grandchildren: Myia Adams, JaMocha
Adams, Zyanna Adams all of Bay Minette, AL; and Aryn Powell of Montgomery, AL; one great-grandson, Preston Adams of Bay Minette, AL, two devoted sisters; Lula (Billy Ray) Johnson Sr., and Catherine (Clarence) Henderson both of Bay Minette, AL; one step brother; Walter Lee (Verline) Remsey of Jacksonville, FL; two uncles; Larry Mitchell of Atmore, AL and Steve Lamar of High Point, North Carolina; two nephews, Broderick (Desdemona) Williams of Montgomery, AL and Billy Ray Johnson, Jr., of Bay Minette, AL; two nieces; Ebony Andrews and Corneisha Andrews of Bay Minette, AL; A host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends; two devoted longtime friends; Willie Bishop and Jerry Crook.
