Jamie Tyrell Barnes was born on July 13, 1997, to Jesse and Georgia Barnes. Jamie enjoyed fishing, hunting, basketball and spending time with family and friends. A jovial and light hearted young man, Jamie was most fond of a gift from his father, a red Mustang, he named “Tracey.”

His huge heart was filled beyond capacity with his love for his children. They were his world, and he was theirs. They were his greatest love of all.

Jamie worked in the Hospitality Industry and provided for his children. He was loved by many. On Sunday, August 2, 2020, God saw that his time here on earth, should be no more. Although we may never understand, God received him into His Kingdom. He leaves behind the woes of this earth. Jamie was preceded in death by his daughter, Ja’da Barnes and his grandfather, John Horace.

Many will cherish the memories of his life, including his parents: Jesse and Georgia Barnes of Stockton, AL; three brothers: marquise Horace, Jesse Barnes, Jr., and Jaylen Barnes all of Stockton, AL; his sister, who is the “apple of his eye”: Jordyn Barnes also of Stockton, AL; grandparents: Fannie (Roosevelt) Horace of Stockton, AL, and Jackie (Jeanetta) Mason of Bay Minette, AL; Jessie Dale of Philadelphia, PA; his fiancé: Aaliyah Nichols, a son Ja’Dan Tyrell Barnes and two step children, whom he loved deeply:  Hi’Keem Palmer and Shavauhia Nichols all of Bay Minette, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other loved relatives and many friends, including a devoted friend: Darryl (DJ) Broughton, Jr.
