Jalisha Charn’e French was born on Nov. 3, 1988, to Carolyn French and Terry D. Hale. A lifelong resident of Baldwin County, Jalisha was educated in the public school system in Baldwin County. She is a graduate of Baldwin County High School. She was an active student and enjoyed courses like Home Economics. Jalisha also took a personal liking in her course in Cosmetology.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the True Holiness Church in Tensaw, AL. Under the Pastoral leadership of Pastor Fannie Hooks, she served the Lord and worshipped until God called her home. Jalisha affectionately called “Lisanay”, loved people. Her family brought her joy. When she gave birth to her daughter, Janiya, her world began to evolve around her. Jalisha had a grand personality and sense of humor. She was fun and funny all wrapped up into one. She never minded being the “life of the party” and she was most times expected to light up the room when she walked in.
In the evening hours of July 4, 2021, God saw that her laughter should be in Heaven. He quietly whispered her name and she gently placed her hand in his, leaving behind the woes of this earth. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Marie French and Rosie Hale, and grandfathers: Albert French and Charles Hale.
She is survived her daughter: Janiya French of Bay Minette, AL; her parents: Carolyn French of Bay Minette, AL and Terry Hale of Stockton, AL; one sister: Kishanta French of Bay Minette, AL; one brother: Montese French of Bay Minette, AL; a loved great aunt: Jacqueline (Ray) Jones of Stockton, AL; a devoted friend: Brittney Rollin of Bay Minette, AL; a host of cousins, other loved relatives and many friends.
