Ericka Dionne Nicholson

Ericka Dionne Nicholson was born on March 1, 1969, in Conecuh County, AL. She is the daughter of Ethel Jean Nicholson and James Russel Rice. She accepted Christ as a her personal Savior and worshipped God throughout her life.

Ericka graduated from Repton High School and went on to attend classes at Reid State Technical College. She enjoyed education and found it worthy to better herself with every opportunity.  She received several Certifications from Reid State, including Electrical and Nursing. Most recently, she was enrolled in school in Pensacola, FL, where she pursuing her degree in Nursing.

A private person, Ericka had a close circle of friends. Her friends meant everything to her and in return, she was loved and respected. God saw that her battle was not for her to win. God saw her wings were to be set beyond Heaven, and in the early morning hours He whispered her name and received her and in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She died in the West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She was preceded in death by her mother and her sister, Tonya.

Ericka leaves two loving sons to hold on to her memory: Jarrod Nicholson of and Tori Nicholson of Repton, AL; her father: James Russel Rice of Repton, AL; three brothers: Herman Shaw, Rick Gray and  all of Evergreen, one sister; a devoted niece: Kiara Curtis of Tuscaloosa, AL, a loved nephew: Kendall Betts of Monroeville, AL; god-daughter: Shanaveia Banks-Richardson of Monroeville, AL; many other loved relatives and caring friends.
