Edward Lee Hunt, Jr. was born on December 7, 1968, to Edward Hunt, Sr. and Juanita Hunt. He was educated in the public schools of Monroe County, and graduated from Frisco City High School with the Class of 1987
Edward was a huge “Alabama” fan. Well known for sporting his “Crimson” he proudly sported his Alabama gear bearing “Roll Tide and Hounds tooth.” He met and married Kimberly Shoemo. Their loving union created a happy home and the shared love of four children. Edward was a role model to his sons and a provider for his family. Kind, loving and caring to his wife. He worked hard and didn’t mind giving of himself to others. He accepted his role as a man and honorably walked in his light that other young boys might emulate his ways. He was careful to lead his sons by example.
He was man with a generous heart and gifted with talents on the grill. His love for grilling food for family and friends, earned him the title “Grill Master”, a title was made deserving, by his signature Bar-B-Que sauce.
On June 1, 2021, the Lord saw that this husband, father, son and brother should take his eternal rest. He gently closed his eyes and answered the tender whisper, “Come Home”. He was preceded in death by his father.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife: Kimberly “Shon” Shoemo Hunt of Winder, GA; four sons: Jordan Foley of Pensacola, FL, and Jalen Hunt, Tristen Hunt, and Tyler Hunt all of Winder, GA; a loving mother: Juanita Hunt of Frisco City, AL; one brother: Phillip Hunt of Frisco City, AL; two sisters: Minister Yolanda (Pastor Kenneth) Jones of Jackson, AL, and Shawanda Hunt of Frisco City, AL; two grandchildren: “the Twins” – Jordan Foley, Jr, and Jadyn Foley both of Raleigh, NC; parents-in-law: Clifton (Voyica) Shoemo, Sr. of Uriah, AL; two brothers-in-law: Clifton Shoemo, Jr. of Monroeville, AL, and Eddie Shoemo of Uriah, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other friends.
