Mr. Calvin Banks
"From labor to reward, rest now thy good and faithful servant"
Calvin Banks was born on February 25, 1958, to Willie Lee and Ola Bell Banks. He was one of several loved children born to this union. Raised in Monroe County, he spent the majority close to home. He united with the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he actively worshipped, served his church and devoted his life to the Lord.
Calvin attended and graduated from Frisco City High School, Frisco City, AL. He later went on to Chipley, Florida to earn his CDL license and soon after, began driving trucks. He made a living and provided for his family as a Commercial Truck Driver, hauling logs for the Logging Industry.
Calvin met and married Latonia Tucker and the two entered into the Sanctity of Holy matrimony. The union brought about the birth of two boys. Calvin loved his family and enjoyed the simplicities of life; family, good food, laughter and friends.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 2, 2020, Calvin transitioned from labor to reward. He took his rest and entered into the Kingdom to be with the Lord. There was a joyous reunion with his parents and several loved relatives who had gone on ahead of him in to Glory.
He leaves many memories to be cherished, by those who held him close: his loving wife, Latonia Banks of Frisco City, AL; two devoted sons: Jalen Banks and Ardallas Banks all of Frisco City, AL; one sister: Thelma (Robert Richardson) Banks of Frisco City, AL; six brothers: Herman Banks, Earnest Banks, Theodore (Pam) Banks, Jimmie (Rosie) Banks and Labarin (Keisha) Banks all of Frisco City, AL and Marshall (Annie) English of Pensacola, FL; mother-in-law: Juanita Tucker of Frisco City, AL; two sisters-in-law: Andrea (Kenneth) Andrews of Excel, AL, and Annie N.
