Melvin Lewis Kirkland
Prayers of comfort for this family as they say farewell to their beloved Father, Son, Brother, Grandfather and Friend.
Melvin Lewis Kirkland, Sr., was born on August 21, 1964, to Robert Kirkland, Jr. and Barbara Betts Bradley in Pascagoula, MS. He was one of four children born to this union. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Monroe Beulah Baptist Church in Drewry.
He was educated in the Monroe County Public Schools and graduated from Monroe County High School. He worked for many years at Gate Precast as a Welder. Melvin had a quiet disposition and was liked by many. He enjoyed the simplicities of life like being with family and friends. He met and married Wendy Yolanda Lee and to this union, four children were born.
On Monday, May 13, 2019, the Lord saw that his battle should be over. He stretched out His hand and received Melvin into Heaven.
