Mr. Jerry David Kidd, Sr.
Mr. Jerry Kidd was born on November 25, 1940, in Monroe County, AL. He was the son of M. B. Cooper” Kidd and Ida Mae Hill Kidd. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Mr. Kidd was loved by many. Even in his time of sickness, many gathered at his home and surrounded him with laughter, stories and happy moments. His grandchildren meant everything to him. He was a true example to them. He provided for his family through honest means and made his living as a Commercial Truck Driver. He hauled for various industries but spent much of his time in the Logging Industry.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 23, 2018, he quietly slipped away from those who loved him and joined his wife Mary in God’s kingdom. He gently took hold of the Angel’s hand and left behind his sickness and these earthly woes. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son: Clayton Jackson and one grandson: Jerrandin “Randy” Pankey.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted children; Angela (Robert) James and Jerry (Mary) Kidd both of Pensacola, FL, Keidra (Christopher “Scotty”) Booker, Candice Kidd and Eric (Kenyatta) Kidd all of Monroeville, AL and Erikston Kidd of Virginia; five siblings : Joe (Evelyn) Kidd of Germany, James (Cathy) Kidd of Uriah, AL, Sandy (Annie Lee) Kidd and Deloster Kidd and Willie Mae Barnett all of Monroeville, AL; twenty grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, a supportive and dedicated community and many friends.
