Jamaya Asiana Austin was born to Tequina Zulieka Austin and Jarmel Krishawn Austin, Sr. She was baptized and joined the Presbyterian Church of Monroeville, where she remained a member throughout her short lifetime. On December 26, 2019, she succumbed to her tragic injuries, and was granted her Angel Wings. She rests now in God's Kingdom.

She is survived by her parents and grandparents; three brothers: Jordan Jackson of Monroeville, AL, Chauncey J. Coleman of Camden, AL, and Jarmel Austin, Jr. of Selma, AL; two sisters:  Alicia Austin and Darlicia Austin both of Selma, AL; and several cousins.
