Loving Wife, Mother, Sister and Friend

 

Jacqueline Deloise English was born on March 16, 1963, to Roosevelt and Isabell (Grimes) McCall.  She was one of several children born to this loving union. A true and devoted Christian, she accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She served in various capacities throughout her lifetime, including Usher, Praise Team, Missionary and wherever the Lord called her to be. She was a member of the Cross Point Fellowship Church in Evergreen, AL.  she was the lead singer of the 84 Gospel Singers.

 

Early in life, she worked at Vanity Fair Mills where she was a machine operator and at Medline in Frisco City. Most recently, she worked at Walmart as a Cashier.

 

She met and married Robert James English and together they shared nearly 35 years of marriage. Their two loving daughters and grandchildren were the joy of her life. Jacqueline, “Sister” as she was affectionately known, was a giving and sensitive person. The happiness of others was always important to her.

 

In the evening hours of Sunday, February 12, 2017, while home, she peacefully traded this earthly home. She now rests in the arms of her Savior. She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted husband, Robert James English of Repton, AL; two daughters: Alicia Monique (David) Dortch and Twanna Maria (James) English both of Repton, AL; three sisters: Dellaviner (Leon) Hixon of Monroeville, AL, Dorothy Bonner of Repton, AL, and Frances Travis of Evergreen, AL; two brothers: Alexander (Dora) McCall of Evergreen, AL, and Nathaniel McCall of Repton, AL; three grandchildren: Martezz Dortch, Marion Dortch and Hannah Maye; two god-children: Steve Mason Jr., and Ryan Mowbray; her “prayer buddy” Anna Dean, devoted sister-in-law: Alberta McCall a devoted friend: Lynn Nall, Ida Berry; a devoted niece, McKaylan Brown; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and many friends.
