Elijah Jim Lamar, Jr., the son of Elijah J. Lamar, Sr., and Benita Calmicker, was born on September 10, 2001, in Baldwin County, AL. He was one of two siblings. At a very early age, Elijah knew about God. With the support and spiritual guidance of his aunt Janice, his Christian love was developed. He attended the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church regularly and as his spiritual growth matured, he found his church home at the Abiding Love Fellowship Church in Foley. He remained an active and faithful member throughout his brief lifetime. “EJ”, as he was affectionately called, was a Servant of God in the truest form.

He attended the Foley High School and was known and loved by many. EJ loved to dance and sing. He was a caring and gentle spirited young man. Respectful. Kind-hearted and willing to be helpful to anyone. Like many in his family, he was a proud ALABAMA fan.

On Tuesday, June 26, 2018, he was called into the Kingdom. Leaving behind the ways of this earth, he took his Master’s hand, and when the Savior whispered, “come with me”, he left us. Many will remember  the gentle touch of his life, including his father: Elijah J. Lamar, Sr., of Foley, AL; brother: Jeffery Calmicker of Foley, AL; his grandmother: Laura Calmicker of Foley, AL; one god-sister: LaTonya Lamar of Foley, AL; his god-father: Spencer Frost of Foley, AL; god-parents: Donnie (Patricia) Edwards of Foley, AL; many devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins; a devoted friend: Minister Erik Levory; other caring friends and a loved church family.
