Mr. Clyde Parker, Sr. was born on June 14, 1937, to the late Lillie and Wilbert Fore of Conecuh County, AL. He was raised in the Repton community and educated in the public school system. Clyde Parker attended Union High in his early years, before going to work for Scott Paper Company.
He met Mattie Andrews Parker and they were married on December 31, 1955. The couple was blessed to bring life into the world two times, sharing in the upbringing of their sons.
Clyde believed in the Lord and attended church at New Chapel Baptist Church in Mexia, AL, for awhile, before joining the New Centennial Missionary Baptist Church in Repton, AL, where he remained until the Lord saw fit to give him rest.
He was a kind and loving man who was devoted to his family. He provided for them through honest means. After working 19 years at Scott Paper Company, Clyde retired. He lived his best days, home with his family, loving and caring for his grandchildren. Mostly, he enjoyed the simplicities of life and driving his Titan truck was one of his pleasures.
In the afternoon of Sunday, September 29, 2019, the Lord sent down the Angels. They gently placed his wings on him and the left this earthly home. He leaves to remember, a loving and devoted wife: Mattie Parker of Repton, AL; two sons: Clyde ((Rosa) Parker, Jr. of Monroeville, AL, and Jeffery Parker of Repton, AL; several siblings: Nona, Puckie, Sharon, Ray, Milton, S.T., and Lillie Bell; two granddaughters: Sherrell and Courtney; seven great grandchildren: Jamoney, Deangelo, Justin, Malachi, Kenai, Skyler, Kaycee; several nieces and nephews: Tommy, Flora, Tracy, Samuel, Ernice, one step grandson: Kenneth Terrell; other loved relatives and many friends.
