Christine Woods McClain
"Our hearts are heavy with grief, but the Angels have delivered her to our Savior"
Christine Woods McClain was born on May 22, 1955, in Monroe County, AL. She was one of several children born to Roosevelt Woods, Hannah (Rivers) Woods and Kathleen Woods. She raised with the unique blessing of being loved and raised by two mothers.
Christine was a loving person who cared for her family. She assumed the role of “Mother” for many of her family members and even those in the community. She did not take her love for family lightly and shared her advice, tender hugs, and heart with them. Her kindness made her a favorite of her nieces and nephews and brought it joy to her children and grandchildren. She simply adored her family.
Early in life, she found gainful employment both at Vanity Fair where she worked as a Separator and at Georgia Pacific as a Feeder. Ultimately, she found her happiness at home, with her family, as a Homemaker.
In the evening hours of Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Lord saw fit to call out to Christine. She left behind those who she loved, for a great love in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hannah Woods and two sisters, Mary Ann Woods and Rebecca Ann Woods.
