Charlie Moore was born in Monroe County, AL, on October 6, 1944, to Charlie Moore and Elouise Morris Moore. He was one of several children born to this union.
Charlie, affectionately called “Moe” by friends and family, attended the public schools in Monroeville. He completed his education and graduated from Union High School in the Clausell Community of Monroeville. He had many friends and people enjoyed his jovial personality.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and united with the Amity Missionary Baptist Church in Peterman. He made an honest living, providing for his family. He worked in the Logging industry for many years before retiring.
In the evening hours of Tuesday, July 23, 2019, the Lord saw that his time here on earth should come to an end. He traded his earthly home for a place prepared for him in God’s kingdom. He was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Ray Moore and Courtney Moore and several siblings.
Charlie leaves to cherish his memory, one son: Alton Moore of Boynton Beach, FL, and ; four daughters: Wendell (James) Biggs of Peterman, AL, Carolyn Moore of Foley, AL, Juanita Parker and Adrianne Moye both of Boynton Beach, FL; two brothers: Larry (Cassandra) Moore of Chicago, IL, and Edward “Eddie” Moore of Washington, DC; one step daughter: Tonya (Christopher) Moore McIntyre of Dallas, GA; three step-sons: Andre (Kelita) Wilkerson of Excel, AL, Atwon Moore Jones of Peterman, AL and Carlos Wilkerson of Monroeville, AL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a devoted companion: Murial McCreary; a devoted friend: Mark Lett, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and many other friends.
