CB Watson
CB Watson was born in Camden, Alabama on April 25, 1937 to the late Mr. Manzer Watson and Mrs. Mary Longmire Watson. He was the third of eleven children born to this union.
CB accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He attended school at Camden Academy in Alabama.
Later CB migrated to New York City. Reconnected with the love of his life Jennie Ree and they were married on April 12, 1964. From their union one son was born Clarence Watson.
CB worked over 38 years as a truck driver for several companies until retirement. He was an excellent fisherman, who loved being on the water. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son, brothers, sisters and friends.
CB was a generous, kind, and caring person who loved his family. He enjoyed spending time with his grand daughters; Teresa, Jessica, Jasmine and Tiana, teaching them how to fish, play cards and ride their bikes. He believed in supporting family members, he would make it his business to attend their graduations and other events that highlighted their success.
CB was a member and Deacon at Crossroads Baptist Church for many years. He later became a member of Southern Baptist Church in New York City, NY. CB Watson fought a good fight and finished his course on December 23, 2018.
CB was preceded in death by his wife Jennie, his parents Manzer & Mary, two brothers Sam and Henry, two sisters Lillian and Lardell. He will be deeply missed. CB leaves to cherish his memory his son: Clarence (Diane) Watson of Middletown, NY, four grand daughters: Teresa, Jessica, Jasmine and Tiana; two brothers: Pastor Alfonzo (Tina) Watson of New York, NY, and Alonzo Watson of New York, NY; four sisters: Anne Ruth Watson, Ola Mae Watson, Mattie Watson and Ruby Lee Watson all of New York, NY; sister-in-law Bertha Austin of Birmingham, AL; a host of nieces and nephews, other loved family and friends.
