Anna Belle Walker Daniels

 

“Anna Belle Walker-Daniels was born on July 9, 1937, to Serlina York and Mobly Walker, Jr., in Blacksher, AL. She united with the Tate Creek Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Tate Creek Gospel Choir. She was also a member of the Adult Usher Board. She created and organized the church’s Annual Tea, to promote her church.

 

Anna attended Douglasville High School from which she graduated. She then went on to attend Alabama State College in Mobile, AL, for two years; then on to Reid State Technical College where she enrolled in the Nursing Program to become a  Licensed Practical Nurse. She went on to attend Nurses Aide School in Monroeville, AL, and later worked for North Baldwin Infirmary for 29 1/2 years. She was a  member of (AWAG) Area Working Action Group for 33years as one of the original founders. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide at the Douglasville Community Center in Douglasville.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband, Joseph L. Daniels of Bay Minette, AL.; their five children: Tiffany R. (Charles) Allen of Oak Forest, IL, Brandy Daniels of Mount Pleasant, WI, Shannon (Jermaine) Hall of County Club Hills, IL, Ashley (Kelvin) Evans of Homewood, IL, and Joseph Daniels, Jr., of Bay Minette, AL; eight grandchildren: Brianna Allen, Alexis Allen, Aniah Edwards, Malik Hall, Jaylen Hall, Jeremiah Hall, A’Mani Evans, Amir Evans; her mother-in-law: Mattie C. Daniels of Chicago, IL; a godson: Marcus French; a host of many other loved relatives and devoted friends.
