Mrs. Patty Bell Fantroy Williams was born on November 13, 1947, to the late George and Ferry Mae Fantroy, in Monroe County, AL. She was the third child born to this union.

Patty confessed her life to Christ at an early age and united with the Pilgrim Rest A.M.E. Zion Church. She graduated from the Conecuh County Training School, Class of 1965. Upon graduation, she attended Lomax –Hannon Jr. College in Greenville, AL, and Allen College in New York, NY.

After graduation, Patty moved to New York where she was employed as a Psychiatric Ward Assistant with the State of New York. In 2008, after forty years of employment with the State, she returned home to Alabama where she joined the Limestone Faulk A.M.E. Zion Church, under the Pastor’s leadership of Rev. Dembray Archie. She fervently served the Lord and her church with attendance of Sunday Worship, Noon Day Prayer (led by Rev. Jean Archie) and Sunday School.  She remained faithful until her death.

She entered into the Sanctity of Holy Matrimony to the late Dozier Williams, Sr. Their union brought about the birth and love of four children who will forever cherish her memory: Deborah (Robbie) Jones and Donald (Violet) Fantroy both of New York City, NY,  Dozier (Deborah) Williams, Jr., of Aikin, South Carolina, and Kenneth Williams of Bronx, NY; her siblings: George Fantroy, Jr. of Moss Point, MS, Ada (Santique) Kamara of Cambria Heights, NY, Helen Fantroy and Jerry Ray Fantroy both of Jamaica, NY, Joe Nathan              Fantroy of Mexia, AL, Maxine Fantroy of Atmore, AL, Ella Fantroy of Monreoville, AL,  and Charles (Delores) Fantroy of Columbus, OH, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
