"Big G"

Gregory Lavone Thomas was born on November 21, 1968, to Cinceboy Miller and Frances Thomas. Throughout his lifetime, he shared a relationship of happiness with his family. Greg was affectionately known as “Big G” by those who knew and loved him most.

He was a jovial spirited man with a heart for everyone. He enjoyed the healthy laughter of family and friends, so much so that his family calls him a prankster.

“Big G” graduated from Repton High School, Class of 1986, in Repton, AL. Shortly after graduation, he found a passion for mechanic work; specifically Diesel Mechanics. His passion led him to various outlets where he fine tuned his talents behind the tools. Most recently, he was employed at Express Service and Towing in Brewton, AL. Known throughout his community as the “go to” person for any mechanic needs, he will truly be missed.

On Wednesday, January 10, 2018, he heard his name and answered to the highest power. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Theodore. As the gates opened to receive him, he left behind many to cherish his memory: a loved and devoted companion, Audrey Kemp; her daughter, Brittany P. Kemp and the grandboys, Noah and Nolan Adams; his eight brothers: Willie (Coretta) Thomas of Repton, AL, Larry (Jacqueline) Thomas of Coy, AL, Cleveland (Brenda) Thomas of Castleberry, AL; Ronald (Shalise) Thomas of Excel, AL, Donald (Debbie) Thomas of Brewton, AL, Charlie (Patricia) Thomas of Burnt Corn, AL, Freddie Miller of Miami, FL, John (Ruby) Miller of Brewton, AL, and Willie Hicks of Los Angeles, CA; seven sisters: Linda Thomas of Repton, AL, Dorothy (Willie) Richardson of     Excel, AL, Barbara (Calvin) Calhoun of Frisco City, AL, Mary Lee of Atmore, AL, Oscie Hall of Oakland, CA, Bessie Miller of Kileen, TX, and Delois Miller of Los Angeles, CA; one devoted nephew: Timothy Thomas; a host of other loved nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
