Ethel Louise Marshall
Mrs. Ethel Louise Marshall was born on September 14, 1938, to the late Mr. Ernest and Mrs. Lula Martin. She loved people and worked as a custodian for many years at Monroeville Elementary School. A caring and beloved spirit, she never hesitated to feed anyone. Being surrounded by the four generations of her family brought so much joy to her life. With bursts of laughter and happily filled stomachs, the family would frequently gather and sit with her, bringing love to her home and to her heart.
A true Christian, Ethel Marshall kept God as the head of her life, living and walking in the word. Her jovial and gentle spirit was a reminder to her family and friends, that kind and Godly ways shall always prevail. She was a champion and battled her health issues with a positive spirit. In the recent days she excitedly planned her return to Snowden Road. But God decided that He wanted her in Heaven and he placed her in a mansion in the sky. She departed this life in the early morning hours of July 27, 2017, at the Emerald Coast Nursing Home in Ft. Walton, Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three children; Willie L. Marshall, Jr., Ernest Lee Marshall, Jr., and Mary C. Salter.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, four daughters: Pastor Gladys (Robert) Knight of Monroeville, AL, Elder Gloria (Robert) Cunningham, of Mexia, AL, Sister Lucille (Lee) Betts of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Mrs. Connie Pigrum of Mexia, AL; three sons: Mr. George E. (Susie) Martin of Mexia, AL, Mr. Curtis (Patricia) Marshall of Brewton, AL, and Minister Cedric Marshall of Mexia, AL; one brother: Mr. John (Barbara Ann) Martin Jr., thirty-three grandchildren, forty-seven great grandchildren, sixteen great, great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews; two devoted family friends: Mr. Stanley Dorsey and Ms. Tinikia Barlow; a devoted church family and many other loving friends.
