Armiller Victoria Henderson Hands
Mrs. Armiller Victoria Henderson Hands was born on July 21, 1922, to the late Ms. Makum E. Henderson and the late Mr. Arthur D. Hollinger in Monroe County, AL. Mrs. Hands was the oldest born to this family.
1948, she entered into the sanctity of Holy Matrimony with Mr. Quinton R. Hands. Mrs. Hands gave her life to Christ at an early age and united with the Limestone Faulk A.M.E. Zion Church where she remained faithful until her health failed her. She served as the Missionary President, Deaconess, as well a Class Leader. She worked for Vanity Fair Mills and the Monroeville Telephone Company and ultimately retired in 1988 and devoted her time to enjoying her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and helping others. Her most loved hobby was cooking.
On the morning of January 25, 2018, she transitioned to her Heavenly home at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, nine brothers, four sisters, three children, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Armiller leaves her loving family a lifetime of memories, including her sons: Mr. Eddie R. Hands of Mobile, AL, Jiles (Denise) Hands and Mr. Willie Earl Hands both of Monroeville, AL; one daughter: Mrs. Eunice Andrews of Birmingham, AL; one brother: Mr. Tommy McMillian of Monroeville, AL; four sisters: Mrs. Jannie B. Nettles of Pensacola, FL; Fannie (Sammie) Kimbrough of Frisco City, AL, Mrs. Everlean Smith and Mrs. Katie (Alvin) Brown both of Monroeville, AL; four daughters-in-law: Mrs. Barbara Helton, Doris Hands, Sylvia Hands and Claretha McMillian; one son-in-law: Marion J. Andrews; three sisters-in-law: Josephine Hollinger, Minnie B. McMillian and Geneva Hollinger; forty-eight grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other loved relatives, a devoted church family and many friends.
